 Billing
is the Land Rover Enthusiast Magazine show - held at Billing Aquadrome
in Northampton (U.K.). We attended
the show in July 2004 with the intention of getting "show deals"
on the various components for the Defender. That and an excuse to
have a totally Land Rover oriented weekend and get some camping
in.
Verdict: We enjoyed the sheer amount of Land
Rovers and stuff available - and we managed to get some good "bulk"
deals from companies. We picked up an A-Bar, Wipacs, Steering Guard,
Wheel Spacers, Carpet, Sound Proofing Kit, Clear Repeaters and something
we hadn't budgeted for which was a new tent (The old one hadn't
been used in about 4 years and had become a little small). If you
do intend to go to the show and camp be sure and book the off-site
camping as every square inch of the aquadrome was covered with people
and tents and wouldn't have been comfortable. Also the pubs weren't
up to much - you practically needed a table number to order a pint.
We are going to go to the LRO
show in Peterborough September 2005 just to experience something
different.
